As mentioned above, it’s entirely possible to do a French manicure with polygel. Here are the necessary steps:
- Prepare your nails, file them, push back your cuticles, etc.
- Instead of choosing a neutral-colored polygel, use a pink acrylic gel and apply it to your nails with a brush. Apply under a catalyst for 30 seconds.
- Next, apply a tiny drop of white gel to the tips of your nails. Spread with a brush, then work the gel in by gently pressing it in. Add a little white gel to the pinkish area to create a well-rounded arch.
- Once the white gel is evenly distributed, cure under an LED lamp for 30 seconds. Once removed, use an electric nail file to file the sides and ends of your nails to refine the edges. Also file the top of the nail to smooth the gel. Be careful not to remove the product completely.
- Finish the application by adding a top coat to add shine and protection to your French manicure. To finish, feel free to remove any excess product residue with a nail cleaner.
